What is it?

  • Project-based engagement, we work together to create a set of clear goals and outcomes that you are looking for (including a target timeline)

  • During the project, we conduct recurring check-in meetings to ensure we remain aligned on goals and timeline, discuss the progress of the analysis, initial findings, additional data needs, etc.

  • Example consulting projects include transaction advisory, outside-in business review, building financial models / creating budget forecasts and business scenarios, assisting with visualization of key trends, identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking methodologies, financial analysis of new business opportunities, developing a plan for future-state organizational structure etc.

When is it most valuable?

  • Consulting engagements are typically most valuable when there is a key project or decision that requires work that your organization does not have the bandwidth or expertise to adequately tackle without assistance

How is it different from the fractional FP&A / strategy service?

  • Consulting engagements are focused sprints with a finite time frame and limited set of topics / desired outcomes

  • While we will certainly conduct multiple (and sometimes longer-term) consulting engagements with a client, our fractional service is an ongoing engagement with a more broadly defined set of goals and responsibilities
